“Growing up, my mother was meticulous about documenting my childhood. Now that I understand why, I try to take the same care in capturing the good moments in my life. But more often than not, I shy away from being in front of the camera. If someone offers to take a photo of me, it’s almost a reflex to decline because I worry they won’t get it right and I’ll end up hating the photos. I wanted this experience to be different.

This is why I decided to work with Cindy and get some fresh headshots!
In all honesty, I felt a bit nervous before the photoshoot. I don't like being in front of the camera and I usually avoid being photographed. However, Cindy created such a comfortable and safe environment in the studio that the whole process felt really natural. We actually had a really good time (I was genuinely laughing a lot!) and time flew by super quickly. What also helped with my confidence in front of the camera was the fact that after every 5-10 pictures, Cindy would show me the previews and they looked great!

“I was looking for photos that I could use for my professional profile, but also to have as a backup for social media posts. I couldn't believe I was able to get a spot with someone who's so passionate about photography and a real good people's person. She exudes a genuine friendliness that made me really comfortable to go ahead and book.
I was actually really nervous on the day, and I thought that I wouldn't enjoy it. I was pleasantly surprised by how much fun I had and how much I laughed. Cindy and her assistant made me feel very comfortable. I'm listening to her coaching me, it really didn't feel awkward at all. So yeah, pleasantly surprised at how stress-free and natural the process felt.
I was really shocked at how great my skin looked and at how joyful I came across on camera. It made sense though, because like I said, I actually really enjoyed the shoot itself, and I was having fun at the time.
